2025
THE WORKSHOP
There were a few factors that contributed to my original decision to quit my last brand in 2022. the most important things were i was burning myself out and creating things i wasn’t interested in anymore. i knew this time i wanted to have every drop show progression. was super excited to create, but knew i would get burnt out quick if i handled shit my myself again. so now, i’m hiring someone to help assemble the shit with me. i bought new tools to learn about, and most importantly, i stuffed a mini fridge with abunch of dumb shit in it. the area is comfortable and lowkey to work in.
WITHERED HOODIE (navy)
i thought the idea of a hoodie with a wool front pocket was so fire. this was the first time using the serger, and that shit looks so much better than my wack ass sewing machine. first time since 2019 screen printing, and the first time i ever cured the ink correctly. i ended up ordering the screen pre-burned cause fuck all that. i’m terrible at the emulsion process. i think also the pieces being so limited (i’m only making five to sell) helps keep the excitement up for me. cause i’m not just sitting there for five hours just sewing on pockets, getting bored. it feel fun so it also feels like i’m not wasting time.
alongside the WITHERED HOODIE, i wanted to have a tee available since it might be too hot to wear a hoodie atm. i bought a couple shakawear blanks because i love the fit of the drop shoulder. asked a few friends if i should approach the tee differently (upside down, off to the side, etc.) they just said go with staight on print like the hoodie. screen printing feels therapeutic now instead of a chore. thank fucking god.
